Arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel, such as Yak and Yeti or similar accommodations. Settle in, meet your expedition team, and begin to immerse yourself in the energy and excitement of Kathmandu.

These two days are dedicated to final preparations. Attend important briefings at the Department of Tourism to finalize permits and logistics. This time also allows for last-minute gear checks and essential shopping to ensure you’re fully equipped for the challenging days ahead. Take a thrilling morning flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region, offering dramatic aerial views of the Himalayas. After landing, begin your trek with a gentle walk through lush green landscapes and small Sherpa villages, following the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding. Lodge accommodation.

Today’s trek involves crossing several suspension bridges and ascending through pine forests to the bustling town of Namche Bazaar, the main trading center in the Khumbu region. With spectacular views of Everest and its neighboring peaks, this day offers a taste of the scenery to come. Settle into a cozy lodge for the night.

To prepare for higher altitudes, spend an acclimatization day exploring Namche Bazaar. Take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,800m/12,487ft) for stunning views of Everest and surrounding peaks. In the evening, visit the Hilary and Sherpa Museum, where you’ll learn about the rich history of Everest expeditions and Sherpa culture.

The trek to Tengboche is filled with beauty, as the trail winds through rhododendron forests with magnificent mountain views. Arrive at the iconic Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual heart of the region, where you may witness a prayer ceremony amid stunning backdrops of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Today’s trek takes you higher as you walk through the Imja Valley, surrounded by striking views of Ama Dablam and Lhotse. Arrive in Dingboche, a charming Sherpa village and popular acclimatization spot, where you’ll stay overnight. This village is known for its stone-walled fields and Himalayan ambiance.

Use this acclimatization day to hike up to Chhukung Ri, a nearby peak that offers panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Spend the day enjoying the sights and allowing your body to adjust to the increasing altitude, which is essential for the higher elevations to come.

Today’s trail takes you into a more rugged landscape as you gain altitude. You’ll pass the memorials at Thukla Pass, dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. Arrive at Lobuche in the afternoon, where you’ll rest and prepare for the approach to Base Camp.

A relatively short trek leads you to Gorakshep, the last stop before Everest Base Camp. This high-altitude settlement offers breathtaking views of surrounding glaciers and peaks. Settle in for the night and prepare for your first trip to Base Camp.

Begin the day with an acclimatization hike to Kalapathar (5,554m), a renowned viewpoint offering some of the best panoramas of Mount Everest and its surroundings. After descending back to Gorakshep, continue your trek to Everest Base Camp, where you’ll set up camp and begin the acclimatization process. This will be your home for the next few weeks as you prepare for the climb.

Over the next several weeks, you’ll undertake a gradual ascent, moving between high-altitude camps and returning to Base Camp multiple times to acclimatize. The camps include:

• Camp 1 (6,065m): Located above the Khumbu Icefall, this camp marks the beginning of the climb proper.
• Camp 2 (6,400m): Nestled in the Western Cwm, this camp serves as an advanced base for further acclimatization.
• Camp 3 (7,200m): Positioned on the Lhotse Face, this camp presents technical challenges and requires careful pacing.
• Camp 4 (7,950m): The final camp on the South Col, marking the launch point for the summit push.

The summit day is planned based on favorable weather, with a goal to reach the top between Days 45-55. The summit attempt requires climbing through the Balcony, the Hillary Step, and finally reaching the peak of Everest. Take an early morning flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, where you’ll transfer to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing, reflecting, and enjoying the comforts of city life.
